| The Italian team won a hard match against France on Sunday and takes the World Cup final. It is the fourth time Italy has won soccers main prize. The score continue staying 1-1 after 120 minutes of extra time. Finally, Italy topped France 5-3 in a nail biting shootout. Supporters of France were subdued and disappointed after a final whistle. Great number of football fans packed the Fan Mile in downtown Berlin, between the city landmark Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column. They watched the final match on big-screen televisions, wildly waving French and Italian flags. After their team victory, Italian fans celebrated, danced and sang in the streets. They hugging one another and have fun all the night. There were no large-scale incidents during the month long World Cup. |
